Other opportunities
We are always looking for motivated and enthusiastic students to join the team! The research is multidisciplinary, involving aspects of engineering (electronics, photonics, nanofabrication) and physics (solid-state physics, quantum science). Candidates from various backgrounds and levels (undergraduate, graduate and postdocs) are encouraged to apply. If you are a physicist with a practical mindset or an engineer with a fondness for physics, this group is definitely for you.
Contact mathieu.massicotte@usherbrooke.ca with your CV, transcript(s), and a short description of your research experience and interests. Please include "Intership/Master/PhD/Postdoc application" in the subject line.
Why join the ONE group?
Be part of two outstanding research institutes, IQ and 3IT, which are at the forefront of research in quantum science and microelectronics.
Team up with friendly colleagues (students, technicians, researchers) in a multicultural and inclusive workplace.
Work on exciting projects in cutting-edge areas of research in physics and engineering, like integrated photonics and quantum materials.
Learn how to fabricate and characterize novel (opto)electronic devices based on advanced materials.
Get access to world-class micro/nanofabrication and quantum measurement facilities.
Collaborate with local and international researchers via several networks and laboratories (IRL-LFQ, LN2).
Attend conferences, summer schools and networking events around the globe.
Take courses in physics and engineering at Université de Sherbrooke or anywhere in Quebec.
Enjoy life on the campus of Université de Sherbrooke, the most appreciated in Canada by its students, and in the city of Sherbrooke, a medium-sized city that offers the perfect balance between urban vitality and nature's tranquility.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
The ONE group is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, especially those in underrepresented groups ( including women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, members of a visible minority and members of LGBTQ2+ communities.).
